Stitchin’ Stuff is a retail shop in Te Awamutu - a town about 30kms south of Hamilton City.

At Stitchin’ Stuff we specialize in “Keeping your Needle Threaded”.  We have a broad range of stock including embroidery, patchwork, knitting and dressmaking supplies.  We are an authorized Bernina Sewing Machine Dealer and offer sewing machine service on most brands of machines.

Our Needlework department features DMC Threads and Zweigart Fabrics.  We cut our needlework fabrics to the size you want – no need to buy the whole width and don’t let us forget to overlock the edges for you.  We have a range of Cross stitch kitsets and patterns – our best seller being the Mary Hickmont Tractor range – very popular in the Waikato.  We have a small selection of Tapestry Cushion kits and the old fashioned ‘fancywork’ kits.

In patchwork we offer a broad selection of fabrics, books and patterns, as well as Olfa accessories, Pigma Pens, battings and backing fabrics.  The Bali Hand dyed range is always popular and there are always new fabrics arriving!

Our knitting supplies are for the basic knitter, mainly baby wool and the basic double knits, we do have some neat baby patterns and we  love the Cocoon (merino/Nylon) Baby Wool.  We do have the basic baby wool in a large range of colours – great for modern babies!

Dressmaking Fabric and Patterns are fairly new to our store and we love having them!  Great to see the new seasons styles and colours arrive – the biggest dilemma is deciding what to make first. 

Of course, with all this inspiration and fabric, we need a great sewing machine and  at Stitchin’ Stuff we are passionate about our Bernina’s.  Starting from the basic Bernettes and going right through to the Ultimate Bernina 830 we can help you choose the sewing machine that is right for your needs.  In addition, we have an onsite workshop which services all brands of machine.
